Jawaharlal Nehru Ring Road, or Outer Ring Road or ORR is a construction marvel that encircles the capital city of Telangana. Built to connect Telangana’s surroundings to bustling Hyderabad, the ORR stretches for 158 kilometers and has 19 exits with 8 tolls.
The construction of ORR commenced in 2008, with the project divided into 6 packages, each package allocated to a different bidder. This prestigious project was helmed by private giants GMR Hyderabad Outer Ring Road Ltd. (GHORRL), Larsen & Toubro, Maytas Infra Limited, Gayatri Projects Limited, Navayuga Engineering Company Limited, and IVRCL Assets and Holdings Ltd.
The 8-lane expressway connects prominent national highways of India such as NH-7, NH-9, NH-163, and NH-765 bringing convenience and reducing traffic to the daily traveler.
The government of Telangana has also proposed the construction of a cycling track between the ORR carriageway and the service road. Even though it is modeled after the Daejon and Sejong cycle track project in South Korea, it improves on its inspiration by providing protection for cyclists from rain and heat. The cycle track is laden with food stalls, and parking to offer respite and solar panel rooftops dot the track.
Since the development of ORR, several distinguished communities have sprung up alongside the exits. Nestled away from the coarse hustle of the city, Ananta One, a prestigious undertaking of Gateway Infra, is another such project that boasts of abundance and delivers on its promise of a vibrant community.
Sitting just off ORR, this eminent project will be a crown asset in your portfolio besides providing a secure future.
